Teaching Experience
I use applied learning, critical thinking, and active engagement to help students connect theory and evidence to real-world policy and organizational questions. My teaching experience spans organizational and policy analysis, quantitative methods, economics, and social policy at the undergraduate and graduate levels, including courses I have taught as instructor of record and teaching assistant at the University of Chicago and Universidad del Pacífico in Peru.

Redesigned the course to use R rather than Stata and developed course materials, including lectures, problem sets, quizzes, and applied assignments. The course emphasizes hands-on quantitative analysis and helps students develop practical skills for using data to answer policy questions.
Political Processes in Policy Formulation and Implementation — Graduate

Developed lectures and interactive class activities that connect theories of policymaking and implementation to real-world policy processes. Used student presentations, small-group discussions, and class activities to encourage critical engagement with course material.

Supported instruction and student learning in a graduate course examining the social and political construction of race and its implications for social policy and practice.

Social Project Assessment — Undergraduate
Instructor of Record, 2010–2011
Designed and taught a course on the creation, design, implementation, and evaluation of social projects. Students developed practical and analytical tools for assessing public projects, including cost-benefit and cost-effectiveness analysis, with examples drawn from projects implemented by local governments across Peru.

Teaching Approach
